Kicking the Bucket Festival

THE Kicking the Bucket Festival takes place in Oxford for three weeks between October 22-November 13 and aims to puts the subjects of death and life in the spotlight.
Featuring 40 events on the theme of life, death and dying, the festival kicks off with a marching funeral band and gives people the opportunity to explore new ideas, make plans, share your concerns and get creative.
Kicking the Bucket events include dance, music, art, theatre, and debates.
Discussing death with small children will also be tackled with the international premiere of the puppet show ‘Death in a Nut’.
While acclaimed international artist, Sally Pomme Clayton, will unveil her new show, Night Visit, uses storytelling, music and imagery to trigger memories and summon ‘ghosts’.
And contributors from North America will include Stephen Jenkinson, and his documentary Griefwalker.
