National Dying Matters Awareness Week

Natalia Shipilova parentsNational Dying Matters Awareness Week has been running each May for several years now and is growing each year. For the last couple years, the theme and Twitter hashtag has been #YODO – You Only Die Once.

Final Fling and others marked the week with a Death Cafe... the growing movement to encourage open conversations about life, death, loss, grief… all the things that have been a bit of a taboo for way too long. See their Awareness Week page for information on what went on and keep in the loop with plans for next year.

National Dying Matters Awareness Week is busy on social media too with Twitter chats every day on various subjects:

The biggest single reason people visit Final Fling is to find out more about funeral music – either making choices for someone else or thinking about their own desires for their Final Fling: the send-off soundtrack to their life.

We hope people will be inspired by ideas during Dying Matters Awareness Week and encouraged to begin planning.

That’s where Final Fling’s great free Life Planning Tools come into their own. Uniquely, they offer the public somewhere to track their thoughts and wishes around death.

Start with an easy one and write down your Top 10 music in your Wishes on Final Fling (part of our FREE Life Planning Tools)- tracks that are part of your DNA. Get more organised and start uploading key documents next of kin will need onto your Safe Deposit Box. Share them with your Keyholder.

Suport National Dying Matters Awareness Week next year!
