Funeral Planning Mentor Training
Lead by Down to Earth at various times throughout the year.
Down to Earth recruits volunteer mentors to support people on a low income deal with funeral planning. Mentors help with planning, filling in Social Fund claim forms and loan applications, meeting funeral directors and other officials.
Mentors should have empathy, patience and good communication skills, be good organisers and confident problem- solvers. Experience of death and funerals is ideal but not essential. Maturity and life experience count so probably over 21s are most suited. Volunteers are asked to commit for six months. Phone or email Lawrence on 020 8983 5055.
