The Conversation Project in the US has a great project – Death Over Dinner – that celebrates our loved and lost.
“The Endless Table: Recipes from Departed Loved Ones” shares powerful stories of loved ones lost from chefs Jose Andres, Amanda Hesser, Tom Colicchio, Ina Garten, Tim Ferriss, Jody Adams, Jasper White, Kathleen Flinn and more. They’ve donated recipes to the e-cookbook in honour of their own loved and lost.
Why Death Over Dinner
“The stories from this collection will deeply impact the way we think about food and how our culture views end of life”, says the Conversation Project team.
Their idea is that we remember people that mattered in life by keeping and passing on their recipes and that we honour them when we remember and share stories over food… Death Over Dinner.
The Conversation Project is in the final push to publish this e-cookbook. They’ve set up a fundraising campaign on Indiegogo. Every $15 donated will help the e-cookbook come to life and they hope will encourage conversations about life and death over dinner.
